Many people around the world are eager to learn more about what’s happening regarding Sweden’s aid and international engagement. That’s why we are now launching the Development Sweden newslettter.
There is a lot going on right now with respect to Sweden’s foreign aid. The current government´s focus is on Ukraine, while many other regions and programme areas are seeing major cuts. Another area of concern is how the changes will affect Sweden’s role as a global player as the feminist foreign policy gives way to an emphasis on our neighbourhood. These matters are some of those we will reflect on in Development Sweden.
”For hundreds of organisations around the world – not least many that work with human rights – Sweden is an extremely important partner and we know that there is great concern about what will happen next. That is why we are convinced that Development Sweden will fill a great need”, says Global Bar Magazine’s editor-in-chief David Isaksson.
The newsletter will be published every 14 days and the target audience is people who work with development issues on a professional basis. The price will be 200 Euro per year or 20 Euro per month. In addition to the staff of Global Bar Magazine, the editorial team of Development Sweden includes Monika Gutestam Hustus, who has worked for many years for the Save the Children movement in Washington and who has extensive knowledge of how international organisations work in practice.
